LETTERING BRUSH MASTERY

One of the first things a Signwriter must learn is how to properly use a Signwriter's Lettering Brush.

It's a skill that takes practice to master however learning the correct techniques from the beginning is imperative to your development as incorrect brush technique can and usually will cause bad habits that will inhibit your progress which is why I'm providing this course to set you on the right path to mastering this great skill and becoming the best signwriter you can be.

You will learn about Brush and Mahl Stick Grips, Mixing Paint to the right constistency, Brush Techniques and Fundamental Stroke Training along with how to apply those skills to writing a Single Stroke Block Alphabet.

You'll begin with the Brush Basics where we go over the common lettering brush types, their anatomy and dynamics, brush grips, how to use a Mahl Stick along with how to mix your lettering enamel to the right consistency and load the brush.

Then we begin the practical exercises which include executing the Foundational Brush Strokes, how to get sharp corners and smooth curves along with identifying and trouble-shooting the common stumbling blocks you may encounter as a beginner.

In the final section of the course you'll learn how to write a Single Stroke Block Alphabet with detailed stroke by stroke tutorials for each letter and numeral ensuring you leave the course armed with all the knowledge you need to carve your path to Lettering Brush Mastery!
